Greetings to all beer lovers. I used this extended weekend and school vacation to set aside Saturday evening for a small Easter Beer challenge. Since two Easters are celebrated in our house, and the school holiday is the professor's free time, a beer thought was born :). The idea was to compare the tastes and drinkability of these two beers in combination with Dutch cheese, roasted peanuts in the shell, flax bars and a sandwich with ham and sour cream. If you want to find out who is the absolute beer winner and which combination of beer and food fits best, stay until the end of the blog with full attention.

I opened the Lion Premium, which contains barley malt and is a full-flavored drink, and the mug was quickly emptied. The lemon ring decoration added that fruity flavor.

After half the beer, I put on a football game and tried the Dutch cheese I love. Than i drink a few sips of beer to the end of the pint, and eat some roasted peanuts in the shell, and some flax bar.

I was thirsty again and started to open the famous Heineken, which I tested in the same way with the taste of Dutch shire leaves and roasted peanuts and a flax bar.

Somehow, Heineken suited me better with the combination of Dutch cheese and ham sandwich. The top is because of that slightly stronger taste in terms of the bitterness of hops and the amount of barley malt, that is, the domestic beer Lion seemed somehow sweeter to me than Heineken. But next time I'll go to a football one match at the stadium, probably holding a Heineken in hand and cheering loudly for the home football players.
My final conclusion of this challenge is that Heineken is better drunk with Dutch Trappist cheese and a ham sandwich, and lion slides better with peanuts and flax bars.

For the end, I left a piece of reforma chocolate cake, as a total contrast, which was the cherry on top of the cake after the combination of all the previous beloved flavors.

Thank you for reading this taste challenge to the end. I would really like this text to reach some beer lovers with similar opinions and experiences. Until then, greetings from Serbia from the Balkans, happy holidays and... Cheers!!!
