Here's my entry for the BeerSaturday 388 with my new beer from the brewery BreWskey. Two weeks ago for the BeerSaturday 386, I tasted their NEIPA Focus which I really liked. Yesterday, I went to the beer shop to buy a new Focus can but right next door there was this beer also marked NEIPA. So I let myself be tempted. But when I got home, I saw that Revelation EC was an IPA.
Voici ma participation au BeerSaturday 388 avec ma nouvelle bière de la brasserie BreWskey. Il y a deux semaines pour le BeerSaturday 386, j'avais gouté leur NEIPA Focus que j'avais beaucoup apprécié. Hier, je suis allé au magasin de bière pour acheter une nouvelle canette de cette bière mais juste à côté il y avait cette bière marquée aussi NEIPA. Alors je me suis laissé tenter. Mais arrivé chez moi, j'ai vu que la Revelation EC était une IPA.

📜 Brewery / Brasserie :
Not much new to say in the last two weeks about BreWskey. But as a reminder, the brewery was founded in 2015 by three friends with a passion for beer and whisky: Karine Amyotte, Guillaume Couraud and Derrick Robertson. They started by launching a taproom in Old Montreal at Marché BonSecours and since 2019 they've been brewing their own beers, mostly IPAs and beer/smoothie style mixes. I haven't ventured into this style yet.
Pas grand chose de nouveau à dire depuis deux semaines sur BreWskey. Mais pour rappel, la brasserie a été fondée en 2015 par trois amis passionnés de bière et de whisky : Karine Amyotte, Guillaume Couraud et Derrick Robertson. Ils ont commencé par lancer une taproom dans le Vieux Montréal au Marché BonSecours et depuis 2019 ils brassent leurs propres bières, surtout des IPA et des mélanges style bière/smoothies. Je ne me suis pas encore aventuré dans ce style.
🍺 Tasting / Dégustation :
Reveltion EC is an IPA (not a NEIPA as advertised in the shops) with 6.5% alcohol, a strong beer with Enigma and Citra hops. In the glass, it has a fairly cloudy mango colour. The beer is quite effervescent with a light head. On the palate, I don't know if my brain was influenced by the colour but I found a taste of mango 😀. I'm not normally a fan of IPAs but the bitterness was well balanced with its tropical fruit flavour. In conclusion, this was a nice surprise.
La Reveltion EC est une IPA (en non pas une NEIPA comme indiqué en magasin) avec 6,5% d'alcool, une bière forte avec les houblons Enigma et Citra. Dans le verre, on retrouve une robe de couleur mangue assez trouble. La bière est assez effervescente avec une mousse légère. En bouche, je ne sais pas si mon cerveau a été influencé par la couleur mais j'ai retrouvé un gout de mangue. Normalement je ne suis pas fan d'IPA mais l'amertume était bien balancé avec son côté fruits tropicaux. En conclusion, cela fut une belle surprise.
Design
The design at the [BreWskey] brewery (https://www.brewskey.ca/) is always original, especially when it comes to the colour palette. Here we're dealing with a man who has to taste this beer and whose mind is invaded by the hops. Really nice... What do you think?
Le design chez la brasserie BreWskey est toujours original surtout au niveau de la palette de couleur. Là nous avons affaire à un homme qui doit gouter cette bière et dont le houblon lui envahit l'esprit. Vraiment sympa... Qu'en pensez-vous ?
