Nasılsınız? Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Ben biraz yorgunum ve kötü bir şekilde öksürüyorum. Bu büyük toz bulutu ciğerlerimi mahvetti. Bir de üzerine grip her şeyi kötüleştiriyor. Bu ciğerden öksürük sürekli olunca sinir bozucu olabiliyor değil mi?

Neyse.

Bugün ailemle birlikte biraz gezmek istedik. Hazır araba kiralamışken yakın olan ve bir süredir gözümüzü kestirdiğimiz bir yere gitmek istedik. Gerçekçi olmak gerekirse de biraz kolayımıza geldi çünkü normalde de çok da uzağımızda olan bir yer değil burası.

Celaliye Sosyal Tesisleri

Ailemle birlikte anladığım kadarıyla İstanbul'daki bütün sosyal tesisleri gezmek konusunda ısrarcıyız. Hatta birkaç dakika önce de şimdiye kadar gittiklerimizin arasından en güzelinin ve en iyi hizmete sahip olanının Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan Sosyal Tesisleri olduğuna kadar verdik.

Tabii bu durum gittiğimiz Celaliye Sosyal Tesisleri'nin hiçbir şeyini beğenmedik demek değil.

Kitaplık

Bu tesiste de diğer tesislerdeki gibi bir kitaplık vardı. Çevresinde ise fazla insan olmadığından biraz inceleme şansım oldu neyse ki.

İstanbul Belediyesi'nden bekleneceği gibi kitaplık Atatürk kitapları ile doluydu. Silivri'deki sosyal tesis aksine. Ne yazık ki burada, üzülürek ekliyorum, sadece dini kitaplar vardı...

Deniz

Tesisin denizin çok yakınında olduğunu haritadan çok net bir şekilde görebiliyordum. Bir de daha önce oraya ziyaret etmiş arkadaşlarımın bana söylediğine göre bira ve şarap satışı olan bir tesis olduğundan akşamları orada oturmak ayrı bir keyifmiş.

Havalar hâlâ soğuk olduğundan iskeledeki masaları yerleştirmemişlerdi fakat oturduğumuz masa direkt denize bakıyordu ki ben bunu çok sevdim.

Hatta iskelede bir anda dikkatimi çeken bir şey oldu. Küçücük bir şeyin hareketi gözüme çarptı. Hızlı olduğu için başlangıçta gerçekten fare zannedip büyük bir şok yaşadım. Simsiyah bir şeydi de zaten. Ama sonra anladım ki küçük bir kediymiş. Hatta tane yavru bir de anne varmış. O kadar tatlılardı ki anlatamam. Zor tuttum kendimi dışarı çıkıp sevmek için.

Menü

Oldukça zengin görünen bir menü olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Çeşitler harika. Hemen hemen aynı menü yukarıda da bahsetmiş olduğum favori tesisimizde de vardı.

Annem ve babam ızgara köfte söylerken ben bir değişiklik yapıp midye tava söylemeye karar verdim.

Ben de annem de memnun kalmadık. Midyeyi balıkla aynı tavada pişirdiklerinden olsa gerek tadı midyeden çok palamuta benziyordu ki ne yalan söyleyeyim deniz ürünlerini sevmeme rağmen bu benim midemi bulandırdı.

Anneme gelince de bana köftenin çok kuru, pilavın ise lapa olduğunu söyledi. Bir de pilav lapa olmasına rağmen tadı güzelmiş. Yemekle birlikte kola da söylemiştik.

Midye tava midemi bulandırdığından dolayı yiyemedim ve hâliyle babama kaldı. O bitirdi. Bundan dolayı biraz kendini kötü hissetmiş olmalı ki bana, ben sormadan, bir tane cappuccino söyledi.

Sevdiğim bir şeyi hatırladığı için ne kadar da mutlu görünüyor. Bu arada merak etmeyin burada sizinle paylaşmak için kendisinden izin aldım. Hatta ben daha sormadan kendisi paylaşabileceğimi söyledi.

Peki o zaman bir de şunu sorayım. Benziyor muyuz?

Bizi genellikle yan yana görenler benzetiyor fakat akrabalarımın dediğine göre anne tarafına çekmişim.

Fiyat

Yediğimiz iki ızgara köfte, midye tava, 3 kola ve bir cappuccino'ya yaklaşık 650 Türk Lirası ödedik. Bence İstanbul geneli için 3 tabak yemek ve içecek için gayet uygun fakat keşke yemekler daha lezzetli olsaydı. Bütün günün geri kalanında midem bulandı. Hâlâ da biraz olduğunu kabul etmeliyim fakat canım çok dondurma çektiğinden yedim bir tane 🤣 Dondurmaya her zaman yer vardır ve bahane yoktur değil mi?

Benim Görüşlerim

Açıkçası konum ve dizayn olarak tesis ne kadar iyise yemekler de o kadar kötüydü. İnsan daha lezzetli bir şeyler bekliyor ister istemez bu kadar "elit" bir yeri görünce.

Ama kabul etmeliyim ki 1 adet şeker attıktan sonra cappuccino oldukça lezzetli bir hâle geldi. Sonrasında da kalktık zaten.

Belki buraya başka bir zaman arkadaşlarımla bir şişe bira ya da bir bardak şarap içmeye gelebilirim manzara karşısında fakat bunun dışında gelinebilecek bir yer olduğunu düşünmüyorum. Sadece kahve için kalkıp da otobüsle yarım saat gelmektense Silivri'de başka bir yeri tercih ederim.

Hello, everybody!

How are you doing? I hope you are well or trying to be well. I'm a bit tired and I've been coughing badly. This big dust cloud has ruined my lungs. On top of that, the flu is making everything worse. That lung cough can be annoying when it's constant, can't it?

Anyway.

Today, my family and I wanted to do some exploring. While we had rented a car, we wanted to go to a place that was close and that we had been eyeing for a while. Realistically, it was a bit easy for us because it is not a place that is normally far away from us.

Celaliye Social Facilities

I realise that my family and I have been insisting on visiting all the social facilities in Istanbul. In fact, a few minutes ago, we decided that Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan Social Facilities is the most beautiful and the one with the best service among the ones we have visited so far.

Of course, this does not mean that we did not like anything at Celaliye Social Facilities.

Library

There was a bookshelf in this facility as in the other facilities. Fortunately, there were not many people around, so I had the chance to examine it a little.

As expected from the Istanbul Municipality, the bookshelf was full of Atatürk's books. Unlike the social facility in Silivri. Unfortunately, I regret to add, there were only religious books.

The Sea

I could see very clearly from the map that the facility was very close to the sea. My friends who had visited there before told me that it was a facility that sells beer and wine, so it was a pleasure to sit there in the evenings.

Since the weather was still cold, they had not placed the tables on the pier, but the table we sat at was directly facing the sea, which I liked very much.

In fact, something happened on the pier that caught my attention. The movement of a tiny thing caught my eye. Because it was fast, at first I thought it was a mouse and had a big shock. It was a jet black thing anyway. But then I realised it was a small cat. There was even a kitten and a mum. They were so sweet I can't tell you. I could hardly hold myself to go out and pet them.

Menu

I can say that the menu looks quite rich. The variety is great. We had almost the same menu at our favourite establishment mentioned above.

While my mum and dad ordered grilled meatballs, I decided to make a change and order fried mussels.

I was not satisfied and neither was my mum. The mussel must have been cooked in the same pan with the fish because it tasted more like bonito than mussels, which, to tell a lie, made me sick even though I love seafood.

As for my mum, she told me that the meatballs were very dry and the rice was mushy. She also said that the rice tasted good even though it was mushy. We ordered a coke with our meal.

I couldn't eat the fried mussels because they made me nauseous, so it was left for my father. He finished it. He must have felt a bit bad because he ordered me a cappuccino without asking me.

He looks so happy to remember something I love. By the way, don't worry, I got his permission to share it with you here. Even before I asked him, he said I could share it.

Well, let me ask you this. Do we look alike?

Those who see us side by side usually resemble us, but my relatives say that I take after my mother's side.

Price

We paid about 650 Turkish Liras (20,07 USD) for two grilled meatballs, fried mussels, 3 cokes and a cappuccino. I think it is quite suitable for 3 plates of food and drinks for Istanbul in general, but I wish the food was tastier. I felt nauseous for the rest of the day. I have to admit that I still have a little bit of it, but I ate one because I was craving ice cream 🤣 There is always room for ice cream and there is no excuse, right?

My Opinion

Frankly speaking, the better the location and design of the facility, the worse the food was. You expect something more flavourful when you see such an "elite" place.

But I have to admit that after adding 1 sugar, the cappuccino became quite delicious. And then we got up anyway.

Maybe I can come here another time to have a bottle of beer or a glass of wine with my friends in front of the view, but other than that, I don't think it is a place to come to. I would prefer another place in Silivri rather than travelling half an hour by bus just for coffee.
