Hey lovelies ❤️
It's your favorite girl @debbie-ese 😍
Welcome to my blog 🤗
Today, I will be sharing with you a smoothie that may sound unconventional but trust me you need to give it a try. It is a banana and carrot smoothie that gives your body so much goodness and amazing nutrients. This smoothie is made using four major ingredients which are banana, carrots, milk and water. However, you can tweak the ingredients to your taste by adding other ingredients of your choice, for instance, apples, pineapples, strawberry, mangoes etc.
For this nutrient-packed smoothie you don't need an extra sweetener because the ingredients (banana and carrot) we are using contains natural sweeteners. However, you can opt for more natural sweeteners like dates, honey etc. Also, it is recommended that you use a ripe banana. The riper the banana, the sweeter and creamier your smoothie will get. I also ensured to peel the back of my carrots not only to get rid of hidden dirts but also to scrap off the layers that may be bitter in some of the carrots.
Ingredients
15 small-sized Bananas
13 Carrots
Milk (150ml)
½ cup of Water
Step by Step
Start by washing the 13 carrots thoroughly in multiple bowls of water. Next, use your knife to scrap the back to get rids of dirts that are hidden in the small holes of the carrot.
When you are sure that your carrots are clean, cut them into small sizes so that it will be easy to blend. Set aside.
Now, wash your 15 small-sized bananas thoroughly as well. Peel and cut into small sizes as well.
Next, add the carrots to the blender and blend until it ia smooth. Add ½ cup of water to enable it blend well. You can decide to sieve the carrots if you want a juice without shafts. But in my own case, I didn't sieve.
- Next, you will add your bananas into the blender and blend until it is smooth too.
Then you will pour your 150ml of milk and blend all together for about 30 seconds to give all the ingredients a good mix.
Your healthy banana and carrot smoothie is ready.
You can serve with some ice cubes or place in the refrigerator to cool. If you are storing in the refrigerator it is advisable to consume within 24 hours so as to retain the fresh and nutritional values.
Thanks for reading and see you in my next one.
