Hello drink lovers... today the weather is very hot, it feels like leaving the house for even 5 minutes is very uncomfortable because it is very hot.
In summer like this it is very suitable for us to make refreshing drinks, but drinks that have too much coloring or drinks that are unhealthy will certainly not make us better if we consume too much, especially during extreme weather like this.
Today I made a refreshing drink which is of course healthy. I made "Es Kuwut Timun" (in English: timun is cucumber) ice kuwut is a term where the fruit used is not cut with a knife but shaved. We can use a grater. Generally, ice kuwut uses cucumber, but we can innovate with other fruit that has a fairly hard texture, such as melon, so that the fruit doesn't fall apart when we shave it.
Why did I make this drink? Because apart from being refreshing, the ingredients used are also very beneficial for the body:
• Cucumbers can help prevent dehydration, are good for the skin and also make the stomach feel cool and comfortable.
• Lime also contains vitamin C
• Apart from being a substitute for sugar, honey is also useful for maintaining the body's immunity.
Let's just prepare the ingredients:
Preparation:
• ½ cucumber
• 1 tablespoon lime juice (from 1 lime)
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 tsp chia seeds
• ice
• 1 cup drinking water (you can replace it with coconut water or lemon juice for a tastier and more refreshing taste)
How to make
• first, we peel the cucumber and also remove the cucumber seeds.
Grate the cucumber using a grater.
• Second, prepare a glass then add ice cubes, shaved cucumber, chia seeds, honey and lime juice.
• Finally pour the water into the glass and it's ready to serve.
If you want to replace your drinking water with coconut water or lemon juice or other fruit syrup, that's very possible. But because I'm on a diet program, I don't add syrup or other sweeteners, just honey. And chia seeds can really be replaced with basil seeds. The step you have to do if you use basil seeds is to soak the basil seeds in warm water until they swell. After swelling, strain them and then use them in drinks.
That's all my blog for today..even though this writing is still far from perfect, I'm happy to be able to share and learn with you..I really appreciate criticism and suggestions from all of you so that I can continue to develop and get better in the future. Thank you all for your support. See you ❤️
