Buenas queridos amigos, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un antiguo método para realizar jugos de mangos. Pero en este caso no vamos a hacer con mangos sino con mangas.

Esto fue porque iba pasando por un lugar y decidí pedir permiso para tomar unas de una casa donde había una mata muy grande (ya que en mi pueblo abunda en gran manera el mango y la manga) y quise hacer un jugo.

Los ingredientes que usé fueron:

2 mangas
1 litro de agua
Azúcar al gusto.

Para empezar, tomé las mangas y las corté en rodajas para separarlas de la semilla y que se cocine más rápido, pero, en realidad se pone a sancochar todo eso junto. Las puse a hervir en 1 litro de agua hasta que quedaran blandas y cocidas.

Después las dejé enfriar porque el proceso que sigue es directamente tomándolas con las manos y me podía quemar... les quité toda la concha con las manos limpias y le saqué la semilla. Todo eso se tira y solo queda la pulpa de la manga la cual continuamos a licuar.

Afterwards, I let them cool because the next step involves picking them up with my hands, which could burn me. I peeled off the entire shell with clean hands and removed the seed. All of that is discarded, leaving only the mango pulp, which we continue to blend.

Al terminar de licuar todo se debe colar para que solo quede el jugo y no las pelusas que normalmente tienen ellas. Le eché azúcar al gusto, realmente no le eché demasiado porque ya estaba una muy madura y se sentía dulce, pero fue al rededor de 6 cucharadas de azúcar.

Yo noté que quedó bastante espeso asi que le eché más agua y quedó en 2 litros de jugo porque la jarra donde lo vacié era de 2 litros y quedó completa.

When you're done blending, strain everything so that only the juice remains, not the fuzz that usually accompanies them. I added sugar to taste. I didn't really add too much because it was already very ripe and tasted sweet, but it was around 6 tablespoons of sugar.

I noticed it was quite thick, so I added more water and ended up with 2 liters of juice. The pitcher I poured it into held 2 liters, and it was full.

Solo quedó en echarle hielo y listo... a disfrutar!!!

All that was left was to add ice and that's it... enjoy!!!
