Palm sugar boba is one of the most viral drinks in my area. This drink was quite expensive when it first went viral. However, its price has now become quite standard. When relaxing in the afternoon, I really enjoy this drink and order it often. I always order medium-sweet brown sugar boba because it tastes better. Out of curiosity, this time I wanted to try making it myself.

Preparing boba certainly requires patience because the process of rolling it into such small balls takes a long time. But don't worry, this recipe is only a quarter of the amount, so I think it will be quick to prepare at home. This drink recipe uses chocolate, but if you want to replace it with Milo, that's fine too. Just adjust it to the ingredients you have at home.
Ingredients

10 grams of chocolate powder
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Palm sugar to taste
Water as needed
Full cream milk (additional ingredient)
Procedure
Mix the tapioca flour and chocolate powder in a container, then add the brown sugar.

Stir until evenly mixed and gradually add water until the dough can be shaped.

Roll out and cut the dough into small pieces, adding cornstarch to prevent sticking.

Then roll the dough into balls by hand, repeating until all the dough is used.

Boil the dough until it floats to the surface of the water, then strain and drain.

Cook the palm sugar with 200 ml of water until thickened.

Then add the boiled boba to the sugar water. Serve in a glass, then add the cooked boba to taste, and add whole milk or evaporated milk according to your preference.

Result

The taste is very delicious, not much different from the brown sugar boba sold at street stalls that I usually enjoy. It tastes creamy and the boba is very soft and chewy, even though the process of making the boba is quite time-consuming and tests my patience. I think the delicious result is worth it, everything tastes so perfect.

What I like most about this recipe is that the palm sugar flavor is truly natural, the syrup is thick and rich, and the sweetness is just right. However, if you prefer it sweeter, you can add a little more sweetener to suit your taste.
