When we arrived she told us that she wanted us to try a handmade parchita liqueur that her daughter had brought her from Colonia Tovar. Colonia Tovar is a place in my country Venezuela that is known for its delicious German and Polish sausages and for the artisanal wines that the people there make for sale.
We were served in the most beautiful and delicate glasses 😻 I liked their shape and the most curious thing is that they are made of plastic.
The smell of the wine is just a delight. That characteristic aroma of the parchita combines very well with the alcohol. And the taste is not far behind. In each taste I perceived that it is a perfect blend of sweet, sour and a touch of bitter. And that flavor remains in the mouth even after a while after finishing the glass.
I could say that it is one of those wines that, if you are careless, you quickly start to get your tongue tangled, you have fits of laughter (it has happened to me) or at the end of the glass you start to tell your secrets 😂
We took the opportunity to talk about various things in life, such as living in another country, the absence of loved ones and many other things. We also listened to some Il Divo on YouTube.
Something I also liked about the wine was the design of the bottle itself and the label. I think it gives it an antique feel. Like being in a cabin away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Where you can only hear the good conversation that my friends and I have, accompanied by every sip of wine 💜

Cuando llegamos nos dijo que quería que probáramos un licor artesanal de parchita que su hija le había traído de la colonia Tovar. La colonia Tovar es un sitio en mi país Venezuela que se caracteriza por sus deliciosas salchichas alemanas y polacas y por los vinos artesanales que las personas de allí hacen para la venta.
Nos sirvió en unas copas de lo más lindas y delicadas 😻 Me gustó la forma que tienen y lo más curioso es que son de plástico.
El olor del vino nada más, es una delicia. Ese aroma característico de la parchita se une muy bien con el del alcohol. Y el sabor no se queda atrás. En cada prueba percibí que es una perfecta mezcla de dulce, ácido y un toque de amargo. Y ese sabor se queda en la boca aún pasado un rato de haber terminado la copa.
Podría decir que es de esos vinitos que, si uno se descuida, rapidito se le empieza a enredar la lengua, le dan ataques de risa (me ha pasado) o al final de la copa empieza a contar sus secretos 😂
Aprovechamos de conversar sobre varias cosas de la vida, como vivir en otro país, la ausencia de seres queridos y otras tantas cosas más. Además, escuchamos algo de Il Divo en YouTube.
Algo que me gustó también del vino fue el diseño de la botella misma y de la etiqueta. Creo que le da un aire antiguo. Como estar en una cabaña apartada del bullicio de la ciudad. Donde solo se escucha la buena conversa que tenemos mis amigas y yo, acompañadas de cada sorbo de vino 💜
