The heat has been quite intense these days on this side of the world, nothing better than a good drink to cool off.

El calor ha estado bastante intenso estos días por este lado del mundo, nada mejor que una buena bebida para refrescarse.
Taking lemonade as a base can be a good starting point to prepare a refreshing, delicious and vitamin-packed drink. Adding the flavor, fragrance and benefits of spearmint is a real temptation.
Tomar como base una limonada puede ser un buen punto de partida para preparar una bebida refrescante, deliciosa y llena de vitaminas. Agregar el sabor, la fragancia y los beneficios de la hierbabuena es toda una tentación.
Since yesterday I was really looking forward to a spearmint infusion with a touch of lemon and I happened to buy the ingredients, however, when I had them at home I decided to make the preparation in a different way and experiment with additional ingredients. With that in mind, I've prepared 2 delicious drinks that I'm here to share. 😊
Desde ayer tenía muchas ganas de una infusión de hierbabuena con un toque de limón y resulta que compré los ingredientes, sin embargo, cuando ya los tenía en casa decidí hacer la preparación de una forma distinta y experimentar con ingredientes adicionales. Con eso en mente, he preparado 2 bebidas deliciosas que vengo a compartir. 😊
Ingredients for 2 different glasses:
- 2 Lemons.
- 10 spearmint leaves.
- 1 Piece of cucumber (I used a piece of about 5 cm of a large one).
- 1/2 cup of chopped pineapple.
- 1/2 liter of water.
- Sugar to taste.
Ingredientes para 2 vasos distintos:
- 2 Limones.
- 10 Hojas de hierbabuena.
- 1 Trozo de pepino (yo usé un trozo de unos 5 cm de uno grande).
- 1/2 Taza de piña picada.
- 1/2 Litro de agua.
- Azúcar al gusto.

Preparation // Preparación:
The ingredients must be washed very well, especially the lemons since they are liquefied with the peel.
I cut the ends off the lemons and cut them first into 4 pieces, then I cut each piece in half, obtaining 8 in total for each one. It is important to remove the whitish membrane inside and the seeds, as this is what makes the drink bitter.
Se deben lavar muy bien los ingredientes, en especial los limones ya que se licuan con la cáscara.
Le corté los extremos a los limones y los corté primero en 4 trozos, luego corté cada trozo por la mitad, obteniendo 8 en total por cada uno. Es importante retirarle la membrana blanquecina que tiene por dentro y las semillas, ya que esto es lo que amarga la bebida.

Blend the lemon with the spearmint leaves and water. Blend for a short time. I do it for 5 seconds, pause and then 5 seconds more.
Se licua el limón con las hojas de hierbabuena y el agua. Se debe licuar por poco tiempo. Yo lo hago por 5 segundos, hago pausa y luego 5 segundos más.

Once the base is ready, I will add the different complements that I chose on this occasion, one at a time, since they are 2 different drinks. To do this, I rinsed the blender to remove lemon residue and blended about 3/4 of a glass of the lemonade with the pineapple chunks. I sweetened with 3 teaspoons of sugar.
Ya con la base hecha, agregaré los distintos complementos que escogí en esta ocasión, uno a la vez, ya que son 2 bebidas distintas. Para esto, enjuagué la licuadora para eliminar residuos de limón y licué alrededor de 3/4 de vaso de la limonada con los trocitos de piña. Endulcé con 3 cucharaditas de azúcar.

I strained and served with ice and spearmint leaves.

Once the first drink was ready, I did something similar with the second one. I removed the peel from the cucumber piece and blended it with the rest of the lemonade, sweetened it with 4 teaspoons of sugar and served it with ice and spearmint leaves.
Ya con la primera bebida lista, hice algo similar con la segunda. Le quité la cáscara al trozo de pepino y lo licué con el resto de limonada, endulcé con 4 cucharaditas de azúcar e igualmente serví con hielo y hojas de hierbabuena.

This way I got 2 delicious and refreshing drinks. I liked them both and although I thought I would like the pineapple one better, this time I went with the cucumber one first, it is very light and fresh.
De esta forma obtuve 2 bebidas deliciosas y refrescantes. Me gustaron ambas y aunque pensé que me gustaría más la que tenía piña, esta vez me fui primero con la de pepino, queda muy ligera y fresca.
