A lot of people said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well, it makes sense especially when you think about the time you spent sleeping and not having to eat anything.
However, this notion, especially the belief of eating a heavy meal for breakfast is actually just made for advertising especially by companies selling breakfast food. This is according to some articles 1, 2 I read in the past.
Anyway, those articles aren't the main points of this post,. So before I get caught up with that even more, let me show you some of the shots I took using my phone this morning.
Above is my usual breakfast.
I eat some bread and have my daily dose of caffeine. I like my coffee black without sugar. :)
These are called pandesal which is a classic Filipino bread roll. The ones we eat are pandesal with moringa, so it's healthier than usual.
Instead of pandesal, we also sometimes eat some wheat bread and have some peanut butter with it.
This beautiful ceramic cup was a gift a got from one of my Japanese friends. She gave me and my parents our own cup as souvenirs from Japan when she visited the Philippines a few years back.
I have several cups and mugs, but this is among my favorites. The design is so pretty and artistic. :)
I had a satisfying breakfast before starting my day at work. How about you? What do you typically have for breakfast? :)
