Phone Photography Contest #21: Breakfast is Served!

in Feel Good7 months ago

A lot of people said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well, it makes sense especially when you think about the time you spent sleeping and not having to eat anything.

However, this notion, especially the belief of eating a heavy meal for breakfast is actually just made for advertising especially by companies selling breakfast food. This is according to some articles 1, 2 I read in the past.

Anyway, those articles aren't the main points of this post,. So before I get caught up with that even more, let me show you some of the shots I took using my phone this morning.

Above is my usual breakfast.
I eat some bread and have my daily dose of caffeine. I like my coffee black without sugar. :)

These are called pandesal which is a classic Filipino bread roll. The ones we eat are pandesal with moringa, so it's healthier than usual.

Instead of pandesal, we also sometimes eat some wheat bread and have some peanut butter with it.

This beautiful ceramic cup was a gift a got from one of my Japanese friends. She gave me and my parents our own cup as souvenirs from Japan when she visited the Philippines a few years back.

I have several cups and mugs, but this is among my favorites. The design is so pretty and artistic. :)

I had a satisfying breakfast before starting my day at work. How about you? What do you typically have for breakfast? :)

This is my entry for @untilwelearn's Phone Photography Contest. Feel free to join! :D

Heavy breakfast, yes! Breakfast woth rice, yes na yes! Lol. But, we're just eating pandesal nalang din every morning. I'm also getting use to black coffee without milk or creamer coz bawal na. Anyways, ganitong oras may nagtitinda pa ng pandesal sa kanto. And hot talaga shaaa, ehe. Parang I want to buy tuloy coz od this 🤤🤧

Hahaha... the last time I had heavy breakfast was so long ago. I think years na rin.... there were times na I skip it kasi late na bumangon. lol I've always loved my coffee black though sometimes I put some chocolate or soymilk in it. Ansarap ng pandesal lalo na pag mainit-init pa. <3

Ehhh, that long. I just had heavy breakfast today ahahaha. I suddenly craved for fried rice and skinless longganisa ehhh, lolol. Yon lanh no kapag late na bumangon, no time na din to prepare it

I guess so? hahaha
that sounds really delish!!!! 😋😋😋

Mainggit ka daliii, para mag crave ka tomorrow morning ang masira yong perfect record mo on a year not having heavy breakfast ಥ‿ಥ Hahahaha char lang. Lol

hahahaha.... krung-krung!!! xDDD
even if gusto ko, walang mag-luluto...well, unless kung maraming leftover the night before. :D
gawing fried rice in the morning... pero sometimes, ilagay lang sa ref then sa lunch na iprepare... hahaha

That bread may be absolutely delicious but I don't understand how and why people drink this bitter coffee without sugar. I can't even imagine coffee or tea without sugar. haha! Btw, is there any filling in that bread?

hahaha... it's a matter of preference, I think?
I need stronger coffee to wake me up... and the bitterness of the coffee suits well with sweets like some pastries. :) And no, it doesn't have any filling initially, but you can slice it in half and add some if you want. :D

Of course, a matter of preference😊 I also like that natural bitter taste of coffee but blended with some sugar. That bun would definitely taste awesome with fresh veggies butter and cheese 😋

Yessss!!! Lettuce, cheese and ham are my favorite combination! Sometimes, I also add some tomatoes.

In my country, people mostly just it this bread as it is... and dipping it in our drink (coffee, hot chocolate, etc) is also very common. :D

The bread looks delicious, coffee without sugar? I couldn't drink it, I guess it's each person's taste, by the way, the cups are beautiful, a nice memory of your friend.

Have a great day!

Hahaha... I guess a lot of people couldn't. :)
And yes... it's indeed beautiful...
Thank you and have a great one, too! <3

the rolls look nice, but what do you put in them?

and the cup is absolutely beautiful!

They are! :)
It could be anything... I sometimes mash and mix some boiled eggs with grated cheese... other times I put peanut butter or some mayonnaise. Anyway, the rolls are tasty even without any filling. :)

Thankies! ^^
