Greetings friends, I hope everyone is fine. It has been a while on the blockchain although I'm fighting to keep my blog busy even as I try managing my time off chain given my late engagement into getting other things fixed as soon as possible.
Looking at the society today especially the developing nations and even deceloped ones, I observed that everyone is going through a lot and this song kept resonating in my mind, which was a harmonized lyrical expression by Mary Mary, a song that was officially released in year 2000 titled "Can't give up now."
Life is an affirmation of tragicomedy and we must accept this hard truth even if someone should reserve a contradicting notion to this assertion. There's death, laughter, weeping, celebration, war, threat of war, hardship, good living etc at different places in the world. These negative and positive scenarios in our time have impacted people in diverse ways which on the other hand has led to many questioning the integrity, essence and beauty of Life most times.
I watched one of our comic actors Mr. John Okarfor AKA Mr. Ibu who kicked the bucket on account of an ailment that forced him to sell virtually all he had. I have watched young and adult folks who jumped into lagoons perhaps given to hardship and issues beyond their measures.
However, it's imperative to always affirm that it's not always going to be smooth, it's not always going to be milk and horny, the horses wouldn't always be saddled with food and plenty. Nonetheless, we should understand that as a coin has a double face, the world and life issues are meant to trend unequivocally.
Mary in the context of her song asserted:
… I just can't give up now.
Giving up shouldn't be considered an option in the event of Life despite how hard the event has become. In 2020, a close associate of mine by name Enyinna (Igbo name) committed suicide by drinking poison given to some money he lost in the hand of fraudsters and since he died, he hasn't come back yet to even say hello to us.
Nonetheless, irrespective of what the situation is, we shouldn't give up. Our people said, a fowl excavated and searched her rear and fur for food, then she came to the conclusion that what's ahead is bigger than those behind. There are mountains which we must climb and cross. We must carry ourselves even if there are people who can bear those burdens for us but at a time, we must bear them ourselves because those problems are ours.
There is an adage that goes " he who leaves to fight today will live to fight tomorrow." And this is an irreversible trust we must tell ourselves. However, in times of difficulties, opprobrium and problems, we have to trust we can overcome as God gives us strength because the issues of success and failure are contingent upon one's determination to succeed or fear of uncertainties.
Most times, we mustn't see the future before the outcome is determined, however, we have to give ourselves and trust a positive posterity for a substantial result which has become an Achilles heel to many since most people would want to see the end of the road before embarking on their journey, although I'm not trying to dissipate and extirpate the importance and effectiveness of planning.
For instance, if I'm to contest for presidency in my country and perhaps told I'll win but people would die in the course of the election and a lot more, I will consider giving up my presidential ambition in order to save people but on the contrary, given the uncertainty in the world system, since I'm vying for such position, I'll get in the race, people will die and I'll also win because I'm meant to win. However, people have died in the course of my ambition but I wouldn't give up at such a point because I never planned for the death of anyone so there's a high level of uncertainty in the world but we mustn't give up either.
In one of the quotes of Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the United State of America, and he said:
The events of the quiet past are inadequate for the stormy present, the occasion is piled high in difficulty, we must rise with the occasion, as our cases are new, we must think anew and act anew".
Let's keep faith, let's not give up despite what the situation is, let's keep moving even as Martin Luther King Jr. said.
If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl but whatever you do, make sure you keep moving'.
Finally I believe there'll be light at the end of the tunnel if we never give up. Thank you for visiting bye.
