Another lovely day at 24°C, it actually felt hot at times!
Our day started waiting outside the hotel for a coach ride to the Oasis Wildlife Park. A 45-minute drive away, although there were many pickup points along the way.
I have visited this wildlife park many times, and it is always a pleasant experience. There is so much to see here, covering a large area and very well managed too. You could see all of it in a day, but at least two days is best to really appreciate the place.
There are some lovely animals here, like the giraffe enclosure. They have a large area to roam free, and a nice viewing area where you can feed the animals with food supplied by the staff at a small price.
All the enclosures are well kept and clearly labelled with information about each animal. Sometimes, they have more than one animal in an enclosure, a good policy to save space.
It is a pleasant experience walking around this place. The paths are all loose fine gravel, which is easy on the legs with so much walking to do! 😆
The park also has plenty of plant interest on display everywhere, and there is a botanical garden dedicated to cacti.
Near the entrance, there is a pond full of various carp fish enjoying the fresh aerated water flowing in from a waterfall nearby. A fascinating sight!
