I am often amazed at how many people around me just can't see well and just carry on. Then, like you, they get glasses and go, "Wow!" I can't stand not being able to see well, but have worn glasses since I was 9 or 10, as I'm pretty blind as a bat without them.
I first got glasses in 4th grade (nearsighted, very...) and it was fall. I was AMAZED that trees far away do NOT look like kids drawing of poofy on top of a trunk, you can actually SEE individual twigs!! And LIGHTS in a city on the horizon, seeing INDIVIDUAL lights! 🤣 I am sure I needed glasses well before that ... 🤣
I didn't realize my eyes were so bad until somewhat recently. They had always been so good so it took a long time to admit to myself I needed lenses.
