Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was very grey and gloomy, with some rain at time as well. But that didn't stop wildlife for visiting us on the deck in the backyard. That squirrel was having a snack, apparently enjoying it! Sorry it looks like he was in prison, I snapped the photo from behind the window screen.
Because of the weather and some things to do in the evening, I thought that for our long daily walk with Kaia, we'd only go in the small forest behind the front yard.
Kais seemed to be in great form again, and ready to explore.
But I quickly decided that it wasn't enough and we needed to go to the bigger forest. We'll be out of schedule again...
It was a little weird outside, like a storm was brewing, with darker clouds rapidly forming and wind picking up.
With all the rain, I thought it would be very muddy or even flooded, but it wasn't bad at all.
Kaia was like "Come on, stop with the photos..."
But I didn't! At least I multi-tasked, walking the trails and snapping photos.
Apparently somebody is working on an addition to this teepee. Kaia seemed surprised too.
Like I said, the trails were better than I thought. This is the worst puddle we found and except for Kaia drinking from it, it wasn't a problem.
On the way back, we met once again many deer. I know I say it often, but there are so many!
Good thing we didn't let the possible storm stop us from walking to the forest because it didn't start before we made it home. It did later though and the rain was pretty heavy. Good timing for once.
The rest of the evening was spent with a friend, preparing our hiking trip at the end of April. I used to like doing research for my trips, now I just want to book anything and be done with it! At least we are now all set with our flights and rental car. Next step, we need to decide the details of our hikes, so we can also figure out where to stay. Hopefully we can do that soon.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
