Hey Actifitters,
If Friday didn't leave much time for outdoor activities, we made sure to make them a priority yesterday. Of course, the sun in the afternoon (not sure in the morning, I refuse to believe in week end mornings!) helped a lot. First we played with Kaia and Le Chat in the yard. It was supposed to be a training session but when Le Chat joined, that wasn't possible anymore.
So I thought we could move the party behind the front yard. More space and better views.
First time this year we see butterflies. They're usually around from April to October but with the ever changing weather these days, who knows?
Kaia didn't want to wait for us before starting her exploration and just disappeared into the small forest for a while.
But she came back of course, she couldn't leave Le Chat alone!
We did leave her alone eventually though when we headed to the bigger forest.
Squirrels didn't even bother pausing their lunches when we got there.
Well until Kaia went to say hello...
I always like the colors when we arrive near that clearing in the forest. Blue in the sky, green on the ground, whatever colors the trees are without leaves, just great contrast.
In the rest of the forest, except for the blue sky, it's starting to change, but still fairly monochromatic.
When we manage to be in the forest early in the afternoon like yesterday, we have plenty of time to catch the easy Cubiverse vaults in the area. It's just 3 or 4 vaults, but that's better than nothing.
And we can finish with another loop around the forest before walking back home.
Next on the activities schedule was a run, my first in six months! But not after a few espressos at home of course. The run was slow and tough, but that was expected. If you're interested, you can check the details in my Exhaust post.
But we weren't done yet with activities. After my run, I first took the time to rest a bit and rehydrate.
And we started our second long walk of the day, to catch the sunset of course. We met one the biggest groups of deer we've ever seen. I managed to get 8 on camera.
As often, they weren't even scared and didn't flee. But maybe Kaia was tired cause she didn't even bark at them. Or she was worried we'd miss the sunset.
Luckily we didn't miss it!
I know I've already shared dozen of them, but I just can't help it, sunsets are so beautiful!
The pinkish pale colors in the sky just before it got dark were also beautiful at the end of our walk.
And that was it, an active day to end this @poliac season. I knew I couldn't win it, and the second spot was already secured, but I still wanted to finish strong.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
