Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was again rainy all day. So we used the same technique for our walk of the day. During a short time when the rain was lighter, we quickly went to the small forest behind the front yard.
Unlike the day before, Kaia behaved more normally and jumped in all the puddles she found!
This is not supposed to be a river!
Kaia also found some kind of animal's den or burrow, and was very interested. She clearly wanted to dig further, but I didn't let her of course.
Still surprised with all these green plants or whatever they are.
You can find them in all stages of development.
Again, just like the day before, the rain stayed light for longer than expected, so we added some distance in the neighborhood.
Seems the squirrels had the same idea.
This one was a little more shy though, I had trouble snapping a picture.
For the evening, we had a night planned at the opera.
I managed to get some cheap tickets, but very close to the stage. Almost too close. But it's pretty cool to be so close to the orchestra.
As for the show, it was 'Breaking the Waves' based on the Lars Von Trier movie. We had no idea what it was. It was pretty good, but surprisingly more graphic than we expected. Nudity during an opera was surprising, especially in the US, where they are often a bit prude. Anyways, good show. And of course, the Detroit Opera House is such a great venue!
And that was it for the day. I was pretty happy to salvage again 22k steps from that rainy and busy day. Let's hope it's sufficient for my @macfit match.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
