Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was our last vacation day and we only had a few hours in the morning before getting our flight back home. In theory, that was enough time to go for one last hike in one of Las Vegas' nearby parks, like Red Canyon or even Valley of Fire. But with our hotel check out at 11am and the fact we needed to bring back our rental car around Noon to be on the safe side, it would have required a very early wake-up time. So we decided to be a bit lazy and just go for a couple touristy things in Las Vegas. We started with the world famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign.
We arrived there just before 9am and there was already a long line for people trying to get a photo. It really didn't matter to me as I would of course never pose for a photo and even less for a selfie. I just needed the sign and it's high enough to get it in a photo without the crowd.
Next we went for a quick look at the Sphere. Not really sure what it is but it looks pretty cool.
Some videos on the outside screen aren't bad.
U2 had a residency there for a while last year I think, that would have been a really fun concert.
And it was finally time to say goodbye to Las Vegas and its surrounding mountains. So cool to see snow in the distance when it's 90+ Fahrenheit.
Nothing special about the trip, a little delay, but nothing bad. Back home after 9 great days. The house felt weird without Kaia but Le Chat was there to greet me. She was definitely skinnier than before. Not surprising as I saw often on my cameras raccoons stealing her food. Without Kaia patrolling the yard, they got really bold. Actually, during the night, I heard noises on the deck, one of them was trying to steal the entire food dispenser! It didn't succeed but it destroyed it. Too bad cause it was a fancy one that I could control with my phone. Anyways, Le Chat is fine, and still as weird!
That is the end of really good vacations, now it will be tough getting back into the routine, and resuming work too.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
