Everyone is getting older. We can try to slow it down, but no matter what we do time still catches up with us.
I am forty eight years old and will be forty nine in four months. I have been regularly weight lifting and doing cardio via running or calisthenics for the last thirty years. I have eaten healthy for the last twenty plus years.
Still, last year, my body started to clearly let me know that age is not just in my head. The weight has been consistently creeping up, I started having back and knee issues.
Sure, I still feel invincible, particularly after drinking ZipFizz, and I still can do fifteen pull-ups, still do heavy lifting, but it is not the same. I have to be a lot more careful and have eliminated many exercises which I did for years and just last year...
Today I was going to do weight lifting as I am already one day behind my lifting schedule, but my lower back started having issues. So I have decided to not push it and move my work out to another day.
And instead of the work out my wife was nice enough to make me a hot compress for my back and instead of weight lifting I am laying down and relaxing.
And what do you think might have caused me to have back pain today? I believe that it might be a visit to the dentist 😬
While the dental hygienist was doing deep cleaning I might have tensed up a bit too much and that caused the issue...
Getting old sucks!
Well, at least I did get my ten thousand steps today unlike yesterday...
