Over ten thousand steps yesterday and today, which feels pretty good. Today, some of these steps were pretty hard as we were walking up the hill.
Today, we finally managed to get snow, and we did some sledding with our daughter.
That was fun, though I only read the label on the sled after we trashed it. Turns out it can only handle two people and a maximum weight of 198 lbs. The two of us are around 285 pounds, lol.
We started by sliding together down the road in our neighborhood. She never used the sled, so we sled about twenty times together. Then I started teaching her how to slide on her own.
There were lots of kids sliding in our neighborhood. They would not listen to us about watching out. And they kept walking up the road even though I tried to explain that they risk us running into them as it is hard to control the sled. Fortunately, we managed to avoid them, and nobody got hurt.
Tomorrow sounds like it would be pretty cold again. Our daughter has stayed home for two days already, and we will probably keep her at home tomorrow again.
The roads are just too slippery in the morning. It melts down by lunch and becomes OK to drive again.
I am looking forward to the weekend. And some rest and time with family. Maybe our son will come over if the weather cooperates.
Would be nice to relax and get away from all the meetings at work and all the reorganization talk in our all hands meetings.
In a few weeks, I should be able to find out if I am taking on a new role at work. That might mean drastic changes in my work and who I will report to.
I am sure glad that I am not working for the federal government. The mess there is truly stunning.
Hopefully, all this political instability doesn't cause a recession. The crypto market is already in a pretty shaky place.
ETH is under 2,700, and altcoins are looking pretty bad. Bitcoin is right under 97k, so it is holding up much better than altcoins.
I still think that we will have an altcoin season this year, but it might take a while....
