“ This Way Man! “ 🐸 My Actifit Report Card: November 26 2024

“This Way Man!”……🐸
“ Uhh….PEPE, maybe you shouldn’t lead Liz over that bridge!😮
The Mrs and Silvertop haven’t hiked the Lynden city park network of trails since the river came close to “flood stage” about a month ago.
The trail menders across this now shallow Creek in numerous locations.
A Month ago, the water in this creek was deep and flowing fast!
Today as we started across this old wooden bridge, Liz noticed that it now has a definite lean to one side!😬
Gradually over time these old wooden foot bridges are being replaced with concrete and steel bridges like you see in the fourth photo!😊
“Silvertop I already walked halfway out to the center of the bridge!”🥰
I checked the main beam from underneath, it looked solid……….
“Liz I would say the deep waters last Month started to undermine the support on the shore.🤔
Safe enough for the moment to hike across, just a bit unnerving, leaning to one side Lol!😇
As the temperature starts dropping, so do the crowds in the park. Summertime you would need to dodge bikers, and hikers…….
Not so much on a cold November day!🥶
“Silvertop, see that old guy over there, he mentioned to me that he was going to bring his Gold pan and sift through all of the deep sand the high water carried downstream!”🥰
Hmmm…..
“Gold Fever” in the heart of Lynden Lol!☺️
“Don’t tell PEPE Liz, we won’t ever get him out of the water Lol!”😇
“Come on PEPE, it’s time to go home……Man!”🤣
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊
