Here Kitty, Kitty!😻
Well…………….I really wasn’t expecting this!😳
I had just finished splitting some firewood this morning, when I looked down at my feet……….
Cat tracks!!😺
I texted the photo to Liz……..
“The wind has been blowing hard honey, I’m not sure if this is a big Bobcat, or a Female Cougar, but we definitely have a Cat in our backyard !”😻
I followed the tracks around my stacks of firewood, up to our outdoor fire pit, and back into the woods………
I glanced deep into the darkness of our slice of the forest.😮
Nope…. I’m not tempting fate, time to finish up with the firewood lol!😇
Cot and Cyle were glued to our patio door last night… I guess this was what they were watching!😺
“ Be careful on today’s hike Silvertop!”🥰

Firewood finished, I added several layers, (eight to be exact Lol), and started uphill!
I was trying to reach “Soaring Eagle” trailhead today.
The wind was still blowing hard……🥶
Suddenly…… on one of the darkest sections of my hiking trails, someone appeared up ahead!😮
It was Lynne out hiking the snow covered trails!
“Silvertop we have been spotting Bobcat tracks all around our house!”
Our homes are quit a distance apart, but it is possible that this was a Bobcat at our home as well, they have a large territory!
“Soaring Eagle” is bitter cold today Silvertop, you better bundle up!” 🥶
Once you cross over the ridge top, it’s like opening a freezer door, and turning on the A/C Lol!
The high wind has blown almost all the snow off the trails!
I pulled my hood over my ball cap, and started hiking down the valley of Soaring Eagle.
Nope……..snap some photos now Silvertop………the cold wind was cutting like a knife!😳🥶
Back home, I opened my front door, and I could see the glow of hot embers through the glass door of our wood stove……..
I sure hope our “Outside Kitty” stays warm tonight, they are forecasting 18° above zero tonight!
“No Cot we can’t invite him in Lol!”😇😻
