On Wednesday evening after cleaning up dinner, I head out for a jog. It was already past sunset and pretty dark. Today's pictures come from earlier in the day, around noon when it was bright and sunny.
I was happy to get out for some exercises, I'd felt sluggish earlier in the week and didn't move to much on Monday or Tuesday, so it was good to get out for some running and make this midweek shift.
The above stats come from the Strava and Apple fitness apps. A few things I'm trying to work on is my heart rate and pace. My goal is to primarily stay within Zone 2 for my heart rate, which basically means exercising but I should still be able to have a conversation. I was in zone 2 for over 85% of the run, which is where we want to be.
I was also happy to see a slight improvement in my average cadence from 156 strides per minute (SPM) on my last run on Sunday, and 160 SPM today. My goal is to get to at least 170 which should help quicken my pace and improve my form.
I'm still averaging over 7 minutes per kilometer which is about the same since I started jogging two weeks ago. My goal is to get closer to six minutes per kilometer. I like having these goals to work towards.
In addition to the jog, I got steps in doing some housework and moving around the office. I clocked 11,606 steps at the time of writing. Moving towards the end of the week in the right way.
