What's up folks!
I'm back with some weird post about my work again! Fun times guys and gals! FUN TIMES!
In all honesty it does actually feel nice to be back into routine! It really does! Even if that routine is a working routine! Laughs!
Come on, it's not that bad! Go suck it up and graft like a beast!
Be sure to watch the video at the end guys!
Back in the saddle with the Volkswagens! Ahh how I've missed them!
I really have! very simple cars to work on! Well that is if they are maintained!
Now this guy has a story to tell! And a crappy one at that!
Last year he booked his car in complaining about some problem on the transmission, it's not shifting as it should and what not, heck I can't even remember!
Point is the car did drive!
He stopped outside and left the car their after he "Booked it in."
As always the car are in somewhat of a que, we don't jump on them straight away!
So Bossman gave him a rough estimate and he didn't like that so he wanted to come fetch his car, laughs!
The moment he got into it that afternoon and wanted to start it the car's TCM just died on him. Not sure if it was fate or what the heck! But it really broke down completely on him!
Shitty feeling you can ask me all about that!
We already know what's wrong.
He has a blown TCM of-course, very simple to figure that out!
But for insurance purposes we do have to attach an electronic scan of the vehicle. Almost to tell us that we don't actually know what we're doing!
But in honesty these computers are making both myself and people dumber! It eliminates the need for fault finding which is actually a very important "skill" if I may in the motor industry!
But whatever, let's go down with this!
It's hard to see, but since the battery was flat it's lighting up every possible system the car has!_
But it doesn't read the transmission at all!
Oh Now That's Is A Mess!
A dirty mess!
It's clear that someone has already fiddled around with this transmission, it's missing quite a few cosmetic parts. Okay well we're not here to inspect how halfly done everything is, we are here to fix problems! So fix problems we will!
As a technician it might sound weird to hear how I complain about greasy dirtyness and oil! I do hate it, I do hate it very much! Laughs I can't stand that slimey slippery feeling on my fingers!
Wrong job I chose? Nah I love swinging spanners! I hate it when people don't maintain as they should!
What do they expect? Save a few pennies to pay a bunch of pounds later on? Oh the way our society thinks nowadays!
Oh This Was Interesting!
Really it was! I won't even say too much about this!
I have a video! Check it out! I think it was quite comical to say the least! Or at-least that's what I thought!
LAUGHS!
