All at the same moment with the help of artificial intelligence.

And if all our food in the future were 3D printed and ready for consumption, researchers in Hong Kong have just developed a technology that combines Artificial Intelligence and graphene, to create food layer by layer, while cooking it with high-precision infrared heating.

This Innovation promises to revolutionize the food industry by making food production more efficient, personalized and despite the controversies the information is that it will be safer than our natural food, unlike conventional 3D printers that only model raw foods and require a second cooking process, this new printer does it all at once.

Technology Features

The secret is an ultra-thin infrared heater made of laser-induced graphene capable of heating foods instantly as they are printed. This technology allows precise thermal control, the heater reaches temperatures of up to 137 degrees Celsius on the surface and maintains 105 degrees Celsius on the sides guaranteeing uniform cooking.

Low power consumption; The printer consumes only 14 W of power, much less than the 1000 to 2000 of a conventional oven.

Removal of bacteria; As the food is cooked instantly there is a significant reduction in contamination making the food safer for consumption.

What are the practical applications and impact.

This technology has the potential to transform various industrial, food and restaurant sectors. 3D food printing paves the way for personalized recipes, allowing restaurants and bakeries to create exclusive dishes without the need for advanced technical training.

Personalized health and nutrition The precision of the ingredient composition can be used for medical diets, guaranteeing rigorous control of nutrients for hospital patients and older adults, in addition to being able to be applied in personalized diets for each individual.

Automated commercial production; The possibility of printing and cooking food at the same time can accelerate industrial production by reducing costs and minimizing waste. With the integration of AI, this printer can analyze food preferences, optimize recipes and create unique textures, making foods more nutritious and adapted to different needs.

In the future this technology could even be used to feed astronauts on space missions where energy efficiency and food safety are essential; tell me how you imagine the future of this technology in your routine would eat is a printed and cooked food and a machine like this.
