MAKE DINNER NOT WAR

The world seems to be on the brink of war.. Shite is kicking off all over the place at an alarming rate. We know of the Russia-Ukraine thing. There's the thing going on in the Levant. There's Congo, Ethiopia, Venezuela and all manner of wars we're not being told about in the media because, well, who knows.

Here in the UK the Ministry of Defence put out some blurb about recruiting more people for the army from the general population. This hasn't gone down well in Britain, as you can imagine, but if they put that out, they must at least be considering it. That's the first time since the big 20th Century wars that that sort of thing has even been considered. People are taking it seriously too. I know people that are already planning their exit from the country. I know a guy that expedited his emigration that, to be fair, he was already planning. He, being of "military age", expedited the process.

Unrelated, but related for the sake of the pun, I've been eating more peas 😌

The job of politicians is to reduce the chance of war, otherwise they are sending their citizens to die. The UK forces don't have the facilities to train loads of new recruits, so I doubt we will see people forced to enlist any time soon. There are fears that the 'orange one' would weaken NATO if he gets in again. That's just what Putin wants.

Things are looking up for the orange one. There's a real chance he'll get in apparently
