
I am taking over the task of my mom every 1st Tuesday of the month to make dinner for the family which I plan to use to do some experimentation at least partly. Yesterday, I ended up making vegan Salmon which actually turned out in a unhoped success (Description below). I also made Mached Potatoes with leek in it and a while whine sause with carrots / Paprika / Tomato in it which is one of my favorites. Inbetween cooking, I also went on a Hour+ long walk with our dog to get in close to 10k steps.
Making Vegan Salmon
Firs, I made red lentil Tofu which pretty much is drained red lentils with an equal amount of boiling water plus salt, onion powder, garlic powder then blended en cooked until it keeps sticking on the whisk. That is put in a glass rectangle bowl and cooled down to have lentil tofu.
I made a marinade with Red beet, miso, vegetable stock, nori, ginger, garlic, tumeric to give it color and flavor and put in in a bag with pieces of tofu that I had put cuts into on one side to give it the texture. before baling, I put a piece of noru on the uncut side the resemble the skin and put some flower on all sides. This gives something that looks more like Salmon compared to the actual taste which still is quite nice.
Today Goals: I will play tennis on Wednesday as usual and aim to get in some productivity also while keeping my eating clean and possibly do some more steps to reach my 100k step goal on the week which will be a challenge.
