Striking a balance between admiration and moderation

in #life9 months ago

Dear friends of HIVE community,

Today, I'd like to tell you about my love for black coffee and my journey to control my consumption. It's a beverage I'm passionate about, but one whose effects I've learned to control to get the most out of it. I'm delighted to share my experience and tips with you!

My admiration for black coffee is long-standing. Its robust flavor and unbearable aroma have always charmed me. However, a few months ago, I realized that my daily consumption had reached a worrying level: I was drinking 3 to 4 cups a day. I decided it was time to take control and reduce my dependency.

The transition wasn't easy. My body was used to high doses of caffeine, and the first few days were marked by headaches and irritability. But I was determined to succeed. I started by replacing a cup of coffee with a decaffeinated beverage or herbal tea, and gradually spaced out my coffees throughout the day.

Today, I'm proud to say that I've achieved a healthy balance. I limit myself to just one small glass of coffee a day, which I enjoy to the full. I choose to drink my coffee in the morning after breakfast (as shown in the photo below, which I took in the café-restaurant next door) or in the evening after dinner, depending on my mood and schedule. This caffeinated moment has become a soothing and invigorating ritual in my day.

From time to time, I also practice intermittent fasting, where I eat just one meal a day. This practice not only gives my digestive system a rest, but also offers mental and physical health benefits. However, I would like to stress that this is not a diet for everyone. If you are interested in this approach, first consult a health professional for advice and guidelines tailored to your needs.

Finding a healthy balance with coffee has been a rewarding experience. I now enjoy the full benefits of coffee without the drawbacks of addiction. I hope my story has inspired and motivated you to find your own balance.

Thanks for reading, and see you soon!
