I managed to get dressed today for hubbys appointment at the hospital, I've been used for my disabled parking privilages, this hospital gets very busy so hubby always plays the poor man's card to get me to go with him when all along I know it's because it's easier to park when I'm there. He said they may give him a pain jab in his hands but never told me until later that it was his knees that they were looking at. I'll wind him up for years on this, I know he didn't know for definite but still feel used and he will pay for it.
Thankfully there was nothing else planned for the rest of the day. On the way home we popped into the Supermarket to buy some easy meals, chilled soups and buns as hubby wasn't in the mood to cook anything today, he had planned to cook curry but with us being out and my oldest daughter at her boyfriends for a few days just leaving me and him, soup and bun was adequate, we thought we would treat ourselfs to a nice soup, something we haven't had before. We chose Leek,Potato and West Country Cheddar, sounded delicious.

IT WASN'T DELICIOUS It was Ok but nothing special, tastes more like Pea soup, nothing else but Pea which was weird as there were no peas in it. We won't be buying that one again. I usually stick to a Ainsley Harriet Broccoli & Stilton Cup a Soup, this is delicious for just being a cup a soup costing £1 for 4 cups.

Just goes to show that because it costs a lot more doesn't make it better. I'll be sticking to my usual soup, I live such a Rock & Roll life.
Once home I was straight back in my pyjamas and fluffy socks resting in my recliner whilst hubby had 40 winks, bless him. He's starting to realise that when I said the less you do the more tired you get is so true, he's gone from working a hard construction job, 8 hours a day getting out of bed at 5.30am to doing nothing and lying in, the longer you do it the harder it is to get up early. He is looking at young back to work for a few more years as he's only 56, he can't do construction anymore that's way to hard so is looking for something easier. Her needs to get checked to see if he has Dyslexia, he's always struggled with spellings, I used to teach him how to spell then put the spellings into a notepad he would use on a the site now with mobile phones and spell check it made it a little easier. I've always had to write his letters for him and read out replies. He never liked to admit he may have it, being the hard man he is. Now he realises he should have gone for tests when he was younger instead of struggling. He's spoke to a lady at the DWP Department of Works & Pensions who are helping him back into work, they also think he should be tested. He is also seeing someone who will do is CV for him, then hopefully he can get back to work and feel useful again.
He's been off work for over 2 years after his hip replacement, its typical he starts the process to go back to work then need to see the Surgeon again about his knees, so now needs a MRI, he may need more operations, hopefully it won't come to that. Fingers crossed.
