I did something today I haven't done for a very very long time and target is to out 2 days in a row. I was out shopping with hubby yesterday then went out with hubby and his mum then met my daughter later for food. My hubby kept asking me to try to come out today as he would like to spend more time with me, made me feel guilty for not pushing myself enough but then thought, If he gave up one day of Golf then he could spend time with me, cheeky old bugger. I know what he was doing, he was trying to get me out and not staying in looking at 4 walls, it gets rather depressing after a while. I went only because it was gong to be half a day out and not the full day.
We picked his mum up then went shopping straight away, usualy we go out to a garden center and a cafe but not today, it was a quick run. We did our shopping then went straight to pick my daughter up from work, she's staying home this weekend instead of going to her boyfriends as he's visiting family. We then went straight onto the Toby Carvery for our food, this will last us the rest of the day so no cooking or cleaning up tonight.
I was really looking forward to having a Carvery, without the meat of course, thankfully they do have Vegetarian options. I usually thoroughly enjoy it but today everything tasted the same, the Yorkshire Puddings looked greasy, the roast potatoes were really dry, the roast parsnips were too thick and the Sprouts were horrible, I left most of mine. With not having a nice lunch we decided on having a Ice Cream, I love these, they are so creamy, I had vanilla ice cream with thick sticky toffee sauce and dark chocolate sauce, there were little crisp pieces of meringue then a nice creamy topping. Looking at the glass it looks like you get a good amount but these glasses are the one with the smaller liner inside, very deceiving.
This is the ice cream I had but couldn't find a matching glass to show the liner, this shows the smaller liner that a lot of places are using over here now. I won't be having another as its getting to cold plus I'm trying to cut out the naughty foods and eat more healthier. We had to drop his mum off at home before us heading home. I like to mature sure she's safe in her flat before leaving, I hate leaving her by herself but she's a very independent 81 year old she knows best.
I couldn't wait to get back in to my pyjamas and relax, all I needed was my recliner so I can rest my back and legs, I know I'm going to suffer tomorrow so won't be going out for a while now. You will find me either in bed or in my recliner doing nothing other than relaxing.
