I don't think I'm alone. It happens to any single parent supporting their family. This weekend, my family invited me to lunch at the Valle de la Pascua mall, and I happily packed the car, washed it, and we got ready to leave that morning.
No creo ser el único. Le pasa a cualquier padre soltero que sustenta a su familia. Este fin de semana, mi familia me invitó a comer al centro comercial de Valle de la Pascua, y con gusto preparé el coche, lo lavé y nos preparamos para salir esa mañana.
We arrived at Valle de la Pascua, where we first visited a hardware store to buy some household items. It was almost 12 p.m., and we were waiting in line to pay. Wow! I had a huge appetite, waiting for my most precious moment: the invitation to lunch at my favorite place.
Llegamos a Valle de la Pascua, donde primero visitamos una ferretería para comprar algunos artículos para el hogar. Eran casi las 12 p. m., haciendo fila para pagar. ¡Guau!, con un apetito enorme, esperando mi momento más preciado: la invitación a comer en mi lugar favorito.
I ordered a super double burger with fries and a soda—delicious! I spent an hour enjoying the food, followed by chocolate ice cream for dessert. When it came time to pay, I was unlucky. I ended up paying myself. What a rip-off! Still, it's worth enjoying it with the family; in the end, that's what matters most.
Pedí una hamburguesa superdoble con papas fritas y refresco, ¡delicioso! Pasé una hora disfrutando de la comida y, de postre, helado de chocolate. A la hora de pagar, tuve mala suerte. Terminé pagando yo. ¡Menudo timo! Aun así, vale la pena disfrutarlo en familia; al final, eso es lo más importante.
