Magandang Buhay!
To avoid the city traffic (which can be a headache), we checked out early on Friday. The hubby suggested we take a side trip to one of the towns where we had not been before, and we could view some of its landscapes. However, the weather was not favorable, so we didn't push it. There would be a next time (hopefully).
The morning was cold, and we were famished, but most restaurants along the way were closed. We traveled approximately 50 kilometers, where one of the favorites of motorists was open. If my memory serves me correctly, Loyung's (the food place) has been operating for decades, although it underwent renovation a few years ago.

So, we went in and enjoyed some hot beverages - chocolate for me, and Milo for the hubby, while we waited for our rice meals. The restaurant has a bakery section, but our taste buds wanted a heavier breakfast.

Meanwhile, the LilGuy took his spot beside me and observed quietly. There were other customers at that time. I was shy to take photos of the place and people.

Our plates were served after twenty minutes (always nice when we don't wait too long, especially when hungry). Friend milkfish (deboned) for me and sisig for the Farmboy, both had veggies on the side.

The fish was shared with the hubby. It was just a little too sour for my taste, and I couldn't finish it. My LilGuy, on the other hand, enjoyed a few beans and broccoli. Then a pet cat came near our table, which made Yongi lose interest in the food.
Thankfully, he didn't growl or we would have exited the restaurant in no time, for we don't wish to bother the other diners, lol! But yes, I appreciate him for not making loud noises in public places.
Anyway, in the end, I didn't clean up my plate. A cup of rice is a bit too much for me, and surprisingly, the hubby didn't need more.

Overall, the food was okay, and our hungry tummies had their fill, so all good! We might explore more of their menu next time (we'll be going on another drive passing through that place soon). Until then, we stay home, dry and warm. Rains are still ravaging places in the region.
