If you live in Dhaka, you already know how badly we crave a break from the city’s endless traffic, concrete jungles, and crowded lifestyle. The hustle and bustle never seems to stop, and sometimes the soul just needs a breath of fresh air. Luckily, just on the outskirts of Dhaka, in the rapidly developing area of Purbachal, there’s a wonderful green escape waiting for you – Ginda Park.

Last weekend, I had the chance to visit this place with my friends, and what followed was a refreshing, fun-filled day-long trip that I’ll remember for a long time. Let me take you through our journey.

We started our day quite early in the morning to make the most of our time. The road to Purbachal is surprisingly smooth compared to the chaotic Dhaka city roads. The excitement in the car was real – music, laughter, and endless discussions about food and games we’d play once we reached. Within an hour or so, we arrived at Ginda Park.

As soon as we stepped out, the first thing that caught our attention was the lush greenery and wide open spaces. It instantly felt different from the concrete life we’re used to in Dhaka.

This was a peaceful place for me because I like to live somewhere I can fill the nature . And it was some of them.

The park is quite spacious, with a combination of open fields, walkways, and shaded areas. It’s still developing in some parts, but that adds a raw, natural vibe to the place. What really stood out was the calm atmosphere – far away from the city noise, we could actually hear the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves in the wind.

In this park, there have some cottages

for gusts and stuff also have resthouse for visitors.
Also, have a restaurant for visitors where you get tasty food with a taste of the village's food .

A library is also located for the readers, but there is no much collection of books.

We found a nice spot under a large tree where we spread our mats and snacks, making it our little base camp for the day.
A day with friends in a place like this calls for unlimited fun. Here’s how we spent our time:
Games & Sports: We played football and badminton in the open field. Running around freely without worrying about space felt so good. A few of us even tried some frisbee throws, which led to endless laughter when the disc landed in the wrong directions!
Photography & Exploring: Ginda Park is a great spot for photography. From the greenery to candid group shots, our phones stayed busy all day. Some corners of the park gave us perfect backdrops for aesthetic pictures.
Food & Picnic Vibes: Of course, no day-long trip is complete without food. We brought homemade snacks along with drinks and fruits. Later in the afternoon, we ordered some local fast food from nearby shops. Eating together under the open sky felt like a true picnic.
Relaxing & Storytelling: In between activities, we just lay down on the grass, talked about life, shared jokes, and even planned future trips. The simplicity of sitting together and enjoying nature made the day extra special.

What I loved most about Ginda Park is its balance of simplicity and freedom. Unlike many crowded parks in Dhaka, here you actually get space to breathe, run, and just enjoy your time without constant interruptions. It’s perfect for friend groups, families, or even solo visitors who just want peace and fresh air.
Another plus is that it’s not too far from Dhaka, which makes it an easy day-trip destination.

Visiting Ginda Park, Purbachal was a refreshing experience for all of us. The combination of nature, open space, fun activities, and good company made the trip memorable. It’s proof that you don’t always have to travel far to escape the busy city life – sometimes a peaceful spot is waiting just outside.
If you’re looking for a quick getaway near Dhaka, pack your bags, call up your friends, and head to Ginda Park. You’ll return with laughter, great memories, and a relaxed mind.
THANK YOU.
