Today I sit and think why there should be such a thing as spring fatigue. How is that possible? By the time bodies pass from sleep to wakefulness, from death to life, people are actually tired.
Why aren't they tired in the winter when it took a lot more energy for the body to stay awake/alive?
Shouldn't one feel full of life, happy and driven right now, with the influx of energy from the sun? Yes he feels that way... at least mentally. But not physically.
Personally, I've been looking forward to spring all winter long. Now that it has come so early, I find it a little hard to bear. It's as if the sun wears out more than it gives life... a contradiction in terms.
Yes, it will take some time. So that bodies can adapt to the change. As if this doesn't happen every year and as if bodies aren't already adapted.
Well, they're not.

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
