It's honestly scary how must stuff is allowed in the US. I'm sure it isn't just here either. The visual appeal isn't worth it at all.

For sure I hate that so much stuff is illegal to use in other countries but fine here. I worked in food manufacturing and the business teams hated foreign markets because they could not use chemicals that are cheaper and easier to manufacture with. We have to remember it's all about profit not the product so we will always get the short end of the sticks as the consumer.
That's actually the one thing I am interested to see how RFKJ tackles it. If he can clean up that sector a little bit, it might not be a bad thing.
