The charms of "Still Life," much appreciated by painters and photographers.

By the way, something strange happens to me with you: when I look at your photographs, I see painting. When I notice your paintings, I see photography. Something unusual but very healthy. It confuses me completely.🙃

You talk about decisions, or the lack thereof, in your publication. I've been wanting to ask you for some time, I consider this to be the right moment, and I apologize for the boldness.

Why don't you post in communities?
If you understand, you can choose not to answer, and I understand and respect that.

I have been struggling with speaking too quickly. I need to think before I put the words out there. I had recently said something in whirl of emotion and caused a catastrophe to be undone. It made me think of the power and authority Jesus gave us, *"whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do..." (John 14:12)

The same thing can happen when we tell people about our health ills (worsening them?). Proclaiming this or that to be so, backed by the power we are given, should be wielded with respect. I have a very short window to stop or control what comes out of my mouth. I am working on that. But I am adding your 'look before you leap' advice to my self-control efforts. They are both worth striving for in order to avoid the should-a, could-a, would-a that comes after any decision. Loved your post and your pictures.

From your last sentence, I understand the comment is for Bluejay.

But allow me to interact because I identify with what you wrote. I suffer from the same problem, but a simple therapy has helped me a lot: counting slowly to 7 before reacting, before speaking. And I recall Psalm 141:3 -
"Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips."

Thank you for dropping by, appreciate hearing your thoughts.

A couple of things I see both the photographs and artwork have in common are Artistic Composition and the Artist....only the medium is different....interesting thought you have here....makes sense though.

How could one not answer such a polite way of going about inquiring? Thank you for your kind query. ^__^

Why don't you post in communities?

It seems communities rather appreciate posts which focus on their subject. And as anyone can tell...Bleujay presents a few subjects in each post....from photography, philosophy, artwork, to the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Also in my personal opinion Communities have a way of becoming cliques and hemming in one's creativity. Of course that being said...I am a great appreciator of the photography communities however it is not for Bleujay.

Enjoyed thinking on these things. ^__^
