How important the right diet is, should hopefully everyone know and certain foods also have a strong influence on the brain and can often influence people unconsciously and it often already starts in the market that different methods of marketing are used to make a product appear more attractive. When people eat certain things, patterns develop in the subconscious and when foods contain certain ingredients such as sugar, there is a kind of kick that can be attributed to the fact that the reward system is active and there is an release of the hormone dopamine which results in feelings of happiness and leads to the fact that one often resorting to certain foods because people want to repeat this feeling. These moments are also often linked to other things that took place at this moment and it happens that certain substances change the sensory impressions and this leads to a distortion of perception and some things are even reinforced and here the industry often uses flavour enhancers which are supposed to stimulate the subconscious so that the consumer resorts to it again and again. There is also an emergence of addiction and the more often someone consume certain foods, the more this is stored in the subconscious and the more difficult it is to break away from it an when people eat unhealthy things like sweets every day, the whole behaviour is adapted and in this context, it is also interesting to observe things such as the link with emotions and if people do not feel so well, some often compensate this through certain foods which can be attributed to the emission of hormones. It is precisely because of these links that the addictive factor of certain foods is particularly high and if this risk already exists and certain food is omitted, there are physical phenomena or reactions in this context that should not be underestimated and this is particularly critical with foods that contain a lot of fat, sugar or salt. What influence food has on the brain depends on the nutrients and certain healthy things can improve performance enormously and have a positive influence on the brain and healthy nutrition is one of the most important things that everyone should pay attention to and at the end of the post, I would like to mention a good quote "Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food." by Hippocrates.
