#1060 - Baguio Good And Coffee Shots for Friday.

Good Friday dearest Hiveans across the world! We’ve done it, another week with determination and grace and now we’ve all arrived at this wonderful Friday😍 let's look forward to the personal time that lies ahead this coming weekend. Sending you all a huge wave of appreciation and positive energy. Have a fantastic and fulfilling Friday😊.

Here's some photos of that last morning in Baguio last September we visited, the air was chilly and there was no better way to warm up than eat breakfast at the famous Good Taste found on Otek Street. The place was already buzzing with people mostly tourists like us which is a clear sign we were in for a good meal. When our food arrived, the plates were large. I ordered the pork with mixed vegetables.

My wife’s corned beef was perfect and topped with a perfectly fried sunny-side-up egg and a fried chicken. Our friend got his choice of pork and string beans which is a classic Filipino dish that was simple but perfect. We ate until we were completely full with this meal this big and affordable than others.

After that fulfilling start to the day, we made our stop at the Baguio City Public Market where we bought some Pasalubong or souvenirs to go back to the normal life. We found a stall selling cheaper locally grown coffee beans than other stalls. The rich smell of the different beans was incredible. We bought a kilo each of freshly ground Benguet coffee and Kalinga coffee. I will bring back the Benguet brew to my parents this December.

With our souvenirs packed and secured, we began the long drive back to the heat of Metro Manila. But we decided, we'll my wife did, on one last delay to postpone the inevitable Metropolitan. We went over at a local shop called Hatch Coffee.

Sat there with a final cup of expertly brewed Benguet coffee and while I got a bittersweet Matcha. It was a quiet pause, a perfect farewell. Then, it was back into our workhorse and onto the road, the temperature gradually rising as we descended the Cordillera mountains. Sad but content because of the wonderful memories of another unforgettable Baguio trip and hopefully we'll get there once again this or next year.
