#998 - Baguio City Shots for Friday.
Lovely Friday beautiful Hiveans. Saying no sometimes or even all the times isn't about limiting yourself but it's about creating space, going out for a TGIF drink? No for me because I have gout and also I just wanted to be home and not in a noisy crowd. Every 'no' is a 'yes' to something more important. So, don't be afraid to set boundaries, to protect your time and energy. Remember that you don't have to do everything, just the stuff that align with your morals and bring happiness and joy.
And now for our daily shots this time still in the city of pines Baguio. From a high vantage point in the city of pines where the landscape unfolds with a harmonious blend of nature and human progress. Scattered lots in the mountainside are buildings and houses with the dense trees. The buildings dot the landscape. The houses alsk seem to blend seamlessly with nature with the mountains provide a dramatic backdrop.
Before the morning sunlight comes out my wife and I were off to Baguio Cathedral and the intersection of Session Road. My wife stands at the corner where she posed beside the road sign. Her smile was radiant with the excitement of the day that's coming.
The street was still quiet at this early cold hour with a few early risers walk briskly while the occasional vehicles passed by. My wife's pose was effortless while making the most of the cold morning atmosphere.
Then we enter the vicinity of Baguio Cathedral which is a grand stone structure that stands majestically behind me with its towers reaching for the cloudy foggy sky. I stand at the entrance with the cool morning air.
The plaza in front of the cathedral is already full with activity. Lots of early visitors with their cameras also capturing souvenir photos. Some pose with the cathedral as their backdrop like me while others simply admire the building architecture.
After our visit to the Baguio Cathedral early morning, my wife and I make our way to the famous Good Taste restaurant on Otek Street. The local restaurant is loaded with patrons since its a 24-hour restaurant. We find a cozy table by the window then my wife ordered a hearty breakfast meal: fried rice piled high with fried chicken, a sunny side fried egg and it's also had corned beef. I opt for a more savory option of bitter gourd with crispy fried pork with the great combination of flavors served with a hot regular rice.
Follow me on my nature travels.
