Time to cook Chicken

in #proofofbrainyesterday (edited)

I am ready to make some Brunch, so

I think I will make some chicken!

There are many ways to prepare chicken, but I prefer to bake the chicken. I would bake it in broth but I don't think I have any base left, but maybe i'll find a substitute. I use a glass cooking dish and then I take the frozen chicken breasts out of the freezer. I preheat the oven to 375 and then place the chicken flat side up in the glass dish. The timer goes on for 45 minutes, and after about 20 minutes I remove it.

The next part of my process is slicing the chicken lengthwise three or four times to ensure that the inside of the chicken can be cooked thoroughly. I don't add salt but I do season with Onion Powder and Miss Dash seasoning, and then flip them. On the other side I stab it 8-12 times, and repeat the seasoning. I also dice an onion and cover the chicken with it after seasoning, and put it back in the oven for another 20 minutes.

This seems to work pretty well

and the chicken turns out delicious.

I will also steam some frozen veggies for about 6 minutes at the very end of the timer, so they don't get overcooked. Some days I also make potatoes or rice, but I think I will just eat the chicken and veggies today. How do you prepare your chicken? What are you going to eat today? Tell me about it in the comments, or write your own post and share the link!
