RE: embarrassing

in #story2 days ago

I had to look up atomic typo. The good news is that, with the systematic dumbing-down of the world's populace going on, very few people would notice. No need to feel embarrassed! I find typos in the NYTimes all the time now. Used to be pristine. Now it's a government/medical cartel propaganda rag riddled with errors that no one notices.

Eighty-nine percent of these processed foods—chips, mayo, dressings—fail the authenticity test.

Wow! I used to buy these products for my son, thinking he was avoiding seed oils! I USE MAYO MADE WITH AVOCADO OIL! I'll throw that stuff away. Butter it is, from now on. We must be extremely careful about our foods now.

The atomic typo sounds as serious as it is! Lol. So true about the dumbing-down. Add the dwindling attention spans and authors could probably get away with just about anything. That breaks my heart to hear about typos in the NYTimes!! I don't really follow any major media outlets these days—there are so few that I trust after the pandemic. You should read that UCDavis study—they list the companies who pass and fail. Some brands of avocado oil are still authentic, but only a handful. The common denominator seems to be the ones who've been bought out by the huge mega corps are all cheating the sytem.

See if you can get to this essay. Sign up for unbekoming's email list. I don't remember how I got on it. Much of what they publish is shocking!
