it’s to the constitution, not the president. The oath says that clearly. Of course they must follow orders of the president, the president is the commander & chief at top of chain of command, and is the people’s elected representative. Bit the oath is clear and to the constitution. Respectfully you have misrepresented this in title. It says clearly in post these two statements. No it is not a path to president, it’s to constitution. Than secondly agreeing to the respect chain of command and follow the commander & chiefs orders.
