🌶️ 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
🧂 A sprinkle of salt
Instructions
1- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Peel, rinse, and chop the potatoes into large chunks.
- Peel the whole head of garlic.
2- Boil:
- Place the potatoes and garlic in a large pot.
- Add salt and enough chicken broth or stock to cover the potatoes.
- Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 20-25 minutes.
3- Heat Cream and Butter:
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine the butter and heavy cream.
- Keep on low heat until the butter melts and the cream is warmed through.
4- Strain Potatoes:
- Once tender, strain the potatoes over a bowl to reserve the broth for gravy.
5- Mash:
- Return the strained potatoes to the pot.
- Add sour cream, the butter, and cream mixture, and season with salt and pepper.
- Mash until light and fluffy.
