Hello everyone!
In my recent blog posts, I shared some impressions of the beautiful village of Agros, also known as the Rose Village, and gave you a first glimpse into the vibrant Annual Rose Festival that takes place there every May.

Now, I’d love to tell you about another unforgettable highlight from my visit – the Linari Taverna, a true culinary treasure tucked away in the heart of the mountains.
This restaurant isn’t just a local secret anymore. In 2024, Linari Taverna was named one of the Top 28 Restaurants in the entire Mediterranean region by TripAdvisor. And having eaten there several times myself, I can confidently say – it fully deserves that title.
During our recent trip, my mother (visiting me from Germany) and I dined there two evenings in a row, and I had already been once before on my own. Each time, the food was outstanding – full of flavor, authenticity, and clear attention to detail.
If you're a meat lover, you’re in for a treat. The dishes are perfectly cooked, seasoned just right, and bursting with freshness. The meat is tender, aromatic, and full of depth. But it's not just about the meat – the salads and sides are also incredibly fresh, crisp, and clearly made with high-quality local ingredients. Every dish feels like it’s prepared with heart and tradition.
The atmosphere of Linari Taverna matches the charm of Agros itself – warm, cozy, and full of character. Whether you’re dining inside or out on the terrace with views over the hills, it’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home.
The staff are absolutely wonderful – welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. The service is quick and professional, but never rushed or impersonal. A special shout-out to the chef, whose passion and skill are truly reflected in every bite.
To give you a better sense of the experience, I’ll be adding some photos of our meals and the restaurant to this post. But trust me – no picture can do the flavor justice. If you ever find yourself in Agros, make sure to reserve a table at Linari Taverna. Even if it’s the only thing you do there – it’s worth the trip.
This place is a must-visit, and it made our stay in Agros all the more special.
Greetings
