Me, the Mighty little mouse,
I decide to clean the house,
Kitchen first, as it's the best,
Throw the chipped mugs,
and plates, what's next,
spices, condiments, expired,
utensils you never need,
that container with no lid,
and do not forget those four
takeout menus that came through the door.
Bedroom follows soon,
socks with holes, baboon,
single earrings, old pillows,
extra hangers, who knows,
clothes you never wear,
book that you don't care,
very old birthday cards,
half-used candles, gift bags,
items never used,
all those pesky cans,
if they don't have fans.
Now we go online
to get what is mine,
bin all those screenshots,
taken just in case,
apps that take up space,
emails unread, photos of a bid
plant right now a seed,
subscriptions you don't need,
all must go away,
for your own sake, if I may!
Send out the cat,
Now we go into the bath,
Old toothbrushed, go,
empty bottles, told you so,
dried-up nail polish,
expired stuff, as you wish.
And to finish cool,
right up to your soul,
random Happy Meal toys,
papers, crayons, broken joys,
clothes you have overgrown,
pens not working, done,
expired coupons, old bills
mystery keys on the windowsills
old notebooks, textbooks,
other crannies and nooks.
This is all it took
Now, back to my book,
just relax and cook,
in the afternoon.
