Since 2017 we are living in a Dutch town called Nijmegen , in 2018 our daughter moved out to live on her own and we were living is this big house just the 2 of us 115 m2 4 bedrooms .

This year my daughter and her family found a new bigger place in Hoogland near Amersfoort in Holland. Since my wife and i aren't getting any younger and the current house is actually ment for a larger family we decided to see if we could find a place closer to our daughter and grand daughter .
So i have been searching the market since August 2024 , and we finally found a nice place for people of age 55+ in Hooglanderveen also near Amersfoort.
It's a 2 bedroom house +/- 73m2 and we have a balcony facing south-east .
The travel distance to my daughter is reduced by 50 to 60 minutes by car .
And we have a nice place where we can grow older then we are right now 😜.
So for the past weeks we have been removing old wallpaper, cleaning , painting the new house , laying new floor hanging new curtains , building new closets , packing things in the old house and on December 20th the movers will come and move our stuff to the new house .
