It is now being used on a new exchange that is being rolled out for institutional investors. To the average person, this means nothing. It does, however, alter the utility for this coin.

I'm certainly just a retail guy, but I've been very pleased with the utility that PYUSD offers me. I send and receive USD through PayPal and Venmo all the time. When it comes time for me to move some of that USD value into HIVE and Splinterlands, it allows me to make basically free transactions (it is available for transfer on Solana and Ethereum) with my international partner, and they love avoiding those hefty currency conversion fees that come with sending USD into their native fiat currency. It's been a game changer for me recently as trading pairs for PYUSD are becoming more widely available.
That is weirdly triggering because everytime I see PY I'm automatically thinking Python [programming language].
