Hello Hivians and all you beer lovers.
Another Saturday and another beer. Although it is from the same brewery as last week.
Today we are having a local beer, yes one from Scotland 🏴
Do you know what a Stag Do is?
Answer ... see below 👇
A Stag Do is a celebration held for a man who is about to get married, attended only by men.
Now I know in the States you say Bachelor Party, and maybe a buck's night in Australia and Canada?
But we are here to talk about Stag Do beer from Loch Lomond brewery.
You can read more about the brewery in my previous post about their Wild Drover Hazy IPA Highland Cows Wild Drovers and Hazy IPA Beers from Loch Lomond Brewery. For here we shall say it is a Scottish brewery on the west coast of Scotland.
Hello Stag Do DDH Pale
Who knows what DDH stands for?
I know our resident beerologist zekepickleman will know. For those that don't here is a wee snippet of gemini info..
Double Dry Hopped (DDH) simply means that the brewers have used a significantly larger amount of hops for dry hopping, or they have performed the dry hopping process twice (e.g., adding hops at two different stages during conditioning). The goal is to maximize the aromatic and flavorful impact of the hops.
Apparently DDH Pale Ales are known for being very aromatic and flavorful due to the heavy dry hopping, often showcasing juicy, fruity, and sometimes hazy characteristics.
A wee dod of haziness
So you can see that whilst it is quite golden it also has a wee dod of haziness to it!
Nice and creamy head and certainly a fruity drink and they are right it isn't bitter.
Just like the Wild Drover beer of last week it is very drinkable but it is just behind Wild Drover for me in the taste scale.
Drinking and cooking!
The first can got tanned whilst I was cooking dinner...
One down one to go!
A very pleasant drink, can you guess what dinner was?
Cheers 🍻🌮
Spaghetti con carne!
A glass whilst Hiving
Dinnae Fash Yersel and Hae A Wee Swally...
Who knows what that means!
My Verdict
Very drinkable and I love the citrus flavours. It is not as bitter as some of the IPAs which is fine by me.
It is both sippable and quaffable! Sweet Juicy finish is an appropriate statement.
Another good brew from Loch Lomond Brewery.
What about you... do you drink DDH Pale Ales?
Posting about a beer on a Saturday on the Beer Community ....
Cheers to local beers and Happy Summer everyone
