Hey Everyone,
Another exciting batch of changes for the new Hive dApp Ureka.Social.
The most significant change is that Ureka now supports Threads - short-form posts (microblogging) similar to the format found on Twitter/X.
I chose to implement the LeoThreads model that inleo uses because it was the first on Hive and I know a lot of people are already familiar with it. You will now see a new selector on the feeds page at Ureka that enables you to switch between Articles and Threads. They are both still Hive posts under the hood, but Articles are regular Hive blogs/posts and Threads are the short-form microblogs.
Let me know how you get on with the new system.
I've also fixed some performance issues and corrected a few bugs, in particular, the API server selection system is now working properly - so you should be able to use Ureka at higher speed now, choosing an API server nearer your own geographical location.
Note: I have decided not to implement support for 'Crossposts' at this time. After investigating the mechanism, I realised that it is a PeakD specific system and relies on new posts being created which could be abused to steal rewards from the original content creator surreptitiously.
