Hello, I'm back with a new story about my experience after participating in an offroad fun dining event in nature. I attended this event on December 21, 2025, exactly one week ago. The offroad location was in Coban Putri, Batu, East Java, Indonesia.
Before leaving for Coban Putri, I and the other participants gathered at Shelterville. After all the participants had gathered, we were divided into two teams when boarding the offroad jeep. The jeep I rode in carried eight people, including the driver.
The trip from Shelterville to Coban Putri didn't take long we traveled for 45 minutes. When our off-road journey began, we passed through muddy roads, rocks, and crossed small rivers.
Then, in the middle of our offroad trip, our car stopped and the Shelterville team handed out a snack called Jicama Cone as an appetizer. Unfortunately, I forgot to document the food. Jicama Cone is made from jicama, spring rolls, and brown sugar sauce.
After the participants tried the food, the jeep drove back and through muddy slopes that made it difficult for the car to pass. We went on an offroad trip for about 30 minutes. I thought this trip was very enjoyable and I gained new experiences in this off-road outdoor activity.
Although we felt shaken during the trip, it was quite an exciting experience. In fact, I even fell off my seat even though I was holding on to the strap. Oh yeah, besides tasting the jicama cone, we also got a welcome drink of soda fizz made from kecombrang cordial, lemongrass, lime, and juice.

After traveling off-road, we arrived at the dining location. The aroma of incense began to fill the air. The dining location was decorated beautifully and blended in with the trees. We were also welcomed by the team who hosted us and prepared our food.

After being welcomed by the team, we actually did some meditation first, led by a guide named Mr. Sindhu. In the middle of the meditation, I was so immersed in silence that I didn't realize the team had prepared our meal.
The main dish served was The Tewellington, made from Chicken Nabati Puff Pastry, Mashed Potatoes, and Jangan Tewel Sauce. I thought the taste was quite unique, because this dish is a combination of traditional Jangan Tewel food modified into a sauce. The texture was also very soft and quite easy to chew.

Next up is a booster beverage called Roti Sisir. Its name comes from a traditional Indonesian bread. This booster is made from Banana Zero Proof Fermentation and Vanilla Syrup. It tastes slightly fizzy, sweet, and refreshing.

They also serve a dessert called Tropical Brulee. This dessert is a modification of banana compote. The ingredients used to make this dessert consist of Banana Brulee, Coconut Milk Ice Cream, Brown Sugar Caramel, and Pohong Crumble. Finally, we were served a cleanser beverage called Wewangen. This cleanser is made from Milk Clarified, Jasmine Flower, and Ylang Flower. Unfortunately, I couldn't try it because by the time the event was almost over, it started raining, and my hands were full of my belongings. So I couldn't take it and taste it :(
