I'm sad from the view that it's straight up censorship on people's freedom, but I personally never used the app (or any other on the list) so I won't personally feel any difference from this change.

This is why I keep as much as possible on my own computers, even if I actually use them with cloud software.

Has your daughter tried accessing CapCut through a VPN ?

It's worth a shot, but my experience with them is you need to clean all the cookies off the device, turn the VPN on and spend a few days using it from the same virtual location so the ISP's and software providers are persuaded that's where you're really at. Right now, I've managed to convince Google I'm a Russian-speaking middle aged housewife living somwehere in Khazakhstan. The adverts & YouTube videos they show me are hilarious....

Well, just the same like what happens with the motto and adage in the cryptocurrency world: “Not your keys - not your money” In the SaaS and Cloud Computing world: if the software or software tools you use to create, whether productively or not, are not installed on your own PC completely, locally and independently of internet use. Then "It is not your software and therefore you won't be able to use it whenever you want"

One more reason to think and meditate more deeply on the meaning of the WEF's motto and adage about the fourth industrial revolution: "You'll own nothing and you'll be happy"

In the computer world. Since long time ago, large corporations creators of software tools have tried to take possession of our scarce money by insisting that we had to pay them monthly or annual fees or "usage licenses" per workstation for the use of their software products.

But to really get us interested in their product, choose it over one of the competence and then they actually be able to finally sell it to us to make and have profits. To do this, they had no choice but to give us a sample or physical copy of their full product to be installed locally, completely and independently of anything else in order to test it and find out if it was worth the investment.

Yeah, the product could be castrated or limited in most of its full functions and features while we were testing it and after a brief walkthrough testing it thus convincing us that it was worth the investment and therefore we should pay for the "usage license" they asked for whatever amount it could be.

For which if we would finally agree to pay them what they asked for, we later realized that the only thing they gave us in exchange of our hard earned money was simply a couple of lines of illegible characters by email which they called "software serial" and that by introducing those illegible strings in the appropriate place in their software these disabled the limitations and released the neutered functions and features in the software.

But which for all intents and purposes, we already had in advance the full product in our hands in a physically tangible form installed locally on our computer and without depending on internet access or anything else to execute it, run it and use it to produce our own creations.

But as we have already seen, that with the advances in science and technology through which they are providing us all now with a sufficiently wide and fast internet bandwidth service to execute, run and use software tools in the cloud. They finally have now been able to accomplish their wet dream of forcibly imposing on us their "subscription" model of software usage without ever having delivered the physical, tangible product to us. They currently say: ¡Pay for the product usage... or else! "You'll own nothing and you'll be happy"
